I Haven't Changed My Mind
Acts 28:1-6. The world in which we live is constantly changing. Church members, customs and culture are constantly altering. Here are some things in spite of all that is going on around us that have not changed in my thinking and my faith.
I. I Haven't Changed My Mind About the Word of God
It is still the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. You must read it to be wise, believe it to be saved, practice it to be holy, and obey it to be blessed. Be settled about the Bible.
II. I Haven't Changed My Mind About the Way of God
Jesus clearly claimed to be the Way to God (Jn. 14:6). You come to know that way by realizing you are a sinner, repenting toward God, recognizing Jesus died for you, and receiving the Lord Jesus by faith (Jn. 3:16‑18).
III. I Haven't Changed My Mind About the Worship of God
Worship should be scriptural, spiritual, and sacrificial (Jn. 4:24; Matt. 26:6-13). Once you have tasted of true worship, form and ritualism will not do. Today many people had rather be entertained than they had to experience true worship. When people worship God there is an atmosphere in which people can come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
IV. I Haven't Changed My Mind About the Will of God
What is God's will for us? First, God's will is for sinners to be saved (1 Tim. 2:4). It is also the will of God for saved people to live separated lives from the world (2 Cor. 6:17). In addition, it is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Spirit.
V. I Haven't Changed My Mind About the Wrath of God
The wrath of God is something that is very real (Rom. 1:18). It will be manifest to sinners who refuse the Lord (Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:8; Psm. 9:17). When you become a child of God, you are no longer in a state where the guillotine of the wrath of God is hanging over you (Rom. 5:9). Thank God for salvation!
